VoIP & Internet Telephony
Managed Cloud Hosting

As part of our responsibility for the operating costs of 19 schools, a contemporary and cross-school digital telephony infrastructure had to be created. The decision fell on the provider MKJC because it was able to offer an external cloud solution, which was what this project called for. Mr Jagmohan acted as the point of contact and, with his professional competence, has so far been a reliable and competent contact for all business and technical questions. The technical solution is now being implemented step by step. At the existing schools, the system has run without interruption so far.

Project overview
As the body responsible for school operating costs, the City of Memmingen is responsible for 19 schools in the city area – including primary schools, secondary schools, intermediate schools and grammar schools. In the course of digitalisation in education, the city faced the task of creating a modern, cross-school telephony infrastructure that meets the requirements of a contemporary school administration. The decision fell on MKJC as the partner for this complex task.
The challenge
Modernising the telephony infrastructure for 19 schools is a project of considerable complexity. Each school has individual requirements: different building structures, various user groups – from school management and the secretariat through to staff rooms and caretaker flats – and different existing phone systems. At the same time, the solution had to be designed on a cross-school basis in order to leverage synergies and enable unified administration. The city placed particular value on an external cloud solution that can be managed centrally and does not require any elaborate hardware infrastructure in the individual school buildings.
